HELP THAILAND’S ELEPHANTS
Please sign these two petitions:
1. https://www.change.org/petitions/to-ban-all-elephants-from-roaming-on-roads-throughout-thailand-ร่วมเรียกร้องให้รัฐบาลยุติปัญหาช้างเร่ร่อนในประเทศไทย
2. http://www.change.org/petitions/government-of-thailand-stop-the-practice-of-crushing-torture-of-elephants-in-thailand
The first petition is from Friends of Asian Elephants requesting a ban on Asian elephants from working on the streets of Thailand. The second petition is from Elephant Nature Park calling for an end to the cruel and inhumane taming process of “crushing” practiced throughout Thailand.
Little is being done to save Asian elephants from Thailand’s inhumane tourism industry. They are abused, overworked and placed in harms way day in and day out. Each day they risk being hit by vehicles, falling on the road due to exhaustion, injuring their feet and becoming ill from stress and depression. And still, Thailand’s elephant tourism industry flourishes. Most of the calves used in the tourism business are captured from the wild and put through a horrific ritual of “crushing” which breaks their body and spirit until they surrender to their fate of servitude. They then live out much of their lives giving tourists rides and begging on the streets.
Please sign and share! Thank you!

“Every day with elephants is Mother’s Day, but today we’re sending out special rumbles and trumpets to all the mothers and allomothers in the world.”
